    Metal artist Andrea Russell

Andrea Russell is a metal artist who creates unique art objects and jewellery from her studio on Galiano Island, BC Canada.  She is interested in art that lifts the heart, sparks the imagination, and stimulates the spirit.
Curiosity is her primary motivating force, and inspiration is drawn from the awesome and entertaining forces of nature.
She enjoys metal working processes that leave room for the unpredictable. Every piece of jewellery becomes an object of discovery. Current work is a part of a continuing textural exploration of the patterns of light and wind as they travel across the surface of water.
The pieces all have a sense of raw energy, movement, and organic flow that is captured, contained and contrasted within the rigid structure of metal. Every design is a unique work of art.
Andrea's jewellery is available at select galleries throughout Canada and the USA. She specializes in creative collaborations with her clients, and teaches silver-smithing.
Please ask if you are interested in custom  work or classes. Email the artist.

    The Art of Lauren Curtis

    Dream of Trees

Lauren Curtis was graduated with a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, in 1988.   She enjoys working in a variety of media, including  oils, acrylics, pen & ink, watercolor and photography.   The artist is happiest when creating pieces that represent her love of nature, wildlife, travel and spiritual subject matter.  BirdwatcherOctober2012sm

The  symbology  and mythology of ancient cultures such as Egyptian, Greco-Roman and Celtic are fused with the symbols of modern -day , natural spiritual practices, to form a unique and eclectic style.

These images are often portrayed through the woman’s perspective, showing the importance of “The Feminine” , which is sometimes over-looked.

Travel is another  major influence in Lauren’s work and the pieces, usually photographs, created from these journeys helps the artist  to convey the beauty  found in diversity, as well as in the similarities, that run through various cultural belief-systems.

Lauren has had artwork and poetry published by  greeting card and crafter companies, magazines and historical organizations, including the Middlesex County Cultural & Heritage Commission.  One of her pieces was selected for the permanent collection of the Joyce Kilmer Library in central NJ.

Her work has been displayed in private collections, healthcare centers and galleries and was selected for a solo exhibit at Johnson &Johnson World Headquarters, July-August, 2009.  She was a featured artist on the Science Channel‘s TV show Oddities in December, 2011 through June, 2012 and has done radio interviews as well.  Lauren has participated in over 95 solo,  group & juried exhibitions and is  also a member of several NJ Arts organizations.

Her artwork has been sold throughout the US and abroad,  and can  be seen in  venues in NJ, NY, MA and PA.

    The Art of Deb Miller

My name is Deb Miller, I am a mother, an artist, an entrepreneur, an herbalist, a healer...I do what I love when I can and fill in the rest of my time with loving up the people around me.  For a long time I was the mother of six, but lately that has changed.
I own and operate a creative learning center for kids, we do organic and herbal gardening, fine arts, yoga, meditation and a lot more.  I feel strongly that this generation is going to inherit a world vastly different than anything we could have imagined for them and they require a skill set beyond the plastic education norm...So we do it the greenway!
Painting saved my life.  I was diagnosed with stage four pre-cancer of the cervix...I needed to express my creative self and I went back to my pre-kid passion.  It carries me away.
These are a few pics...Some others have been shared and loved by other lovers of art...I hope you enjoy them!

    Avie Perez

As a young teenager, I found myself in the backyard surrounded by candles connecting to goddess earth. I continued my journeys and expanded my magic through solo travels to different power points of the earth. These multi-dimensional journeys, as well as goddess woman-hood are mostly what inspire my paintings. I am now living the next chapter of life as a mother to my 1 year old daughter in the Catskill mountains.
Susun Weed's writings and presence have been a major inspiration to me through the years. I am delighted to be able to share my works on this site.
Some more pieces can be found here at my website:
